Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor expressed disappointment with Jesus’ recent form, citing his failure to score or assist in his last 10 appearances for Arsenal.

Gabriel Jesus needs to regain his top form and contribute more to Mikel Arteta’s team, especially during critical times. Former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor expressed concern about Jesus’ performance, stating, “He hasn’t scored or assisted in 10 appearances this season, which is a significant drop from his previous seasons.”

Agbonlahor noted Jesus’ impressive start at Arsenal, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in the 2022-23 season. However, his numbers decreased to eight goals and eight assists in 36 games last season. This season, Jesus has yet to score or assist.

With injuries impacting key players like Odegaard and Saka, Agbonlahor emphasized Jesus’ importance: “They need him to step up, especially now.” He also pointed out that Jesus was replaced by Raheem Sterling before the 70-minute mark against Shakhtar Donetsk, highlighting his struggles to make an impact.
